1. Begin by cutting a length of cord approximately 6 - 7 ft in length.
2. String on eight 11/0 seed beads and bring them to the center of the cord.
3. Add the button and center it over the seed beads (with four on each side of the shank).
4. Making sure there are equal lengths of cord on each side, tie an overhand knot.
5. Cinch the knot up towards the button.
6. Tighten knot completely so it sits snugly under the 11/0 beads.
7. Begin stringing beads onto the left cord using a pattern of two wooden beads, a 6mm crystal pearl, two wooden beads, and a 6mm crystal bicone.
8. Next add two more wooden beads, one 6mm crystal pearl, two wooden beads, and a 6mm crystal cube. The pattern of steps 7 and 8 will be repeated until the desired length is reached.
9. Pull the strung beads down the cord so they sit about 12 inches below the button.
10. Slide one wooden bead up the cord so it is sitting against the button.
11. Tie an overhand knot by making a loop and passing the button and the bead through it.
12. Using your fingers push the knot up so it sits just below the bead. One side of the cord will be passing through the bead the other will wrap around its outside.
13. Slide another wood bead up the cord so it sits under the knot. String seven 11/0 beads onto the second piece of cord (the one that will wrap around the outside edge).
14. Make another overhand knot and tighten it against the bead. The 11/0s should now hug the bead's outside edge.
15. Slide the next bead up towards the button.
16. Repeat steps 10 -12 by making another overhand knot.
17. Slide up the next bead and knot.
18. Repeat steps 13 and 14 to add the 11/0s onto the next bead.
19. Continue in this way until you reach the desired length. If you size the necklace correctly it can double as a wrap bracelet and coil around your wrist 3 times. Depending on the size of the beads, and the tension of the knots, the length may vary from project to project so the pattern may not match ours exactly.
20. Pull up the final wood bead and string on 26-30 11/0 beads. These will form the clasp loop so make sure they fit easily around the button. String seven 11/0s onto the other piece of cord.
21. Make a loop with the 11/0s by doubling through the 11/0 closest to the last wood bead.
22. With both cords make a square knot.
23. String both pieces of cord back through the last wood bead.
24. Make another square knot (it should sit inside the bead hole) and place a drop of glue on it.
25. Once the glue on the knot is dry, trim the cord and allow the knot to slip into the hole of the bead.
