1. Begin by cutting 8ft of Rose Tex 400 cord (CLC.400-RS). Fold cord in half and bring the needle to the center.
2. Pour out the tube of 6-4210F and divide the beads in half.
3. String one half of the tube onto the 4ft of doubled cord.
4. Center the beads on the cord.
5. Cut another 8ft length of cord and string the second half of the tube in the same way.
6. String each tube of beads onto the matching cord in the same way. 6-1897 onto Olivine (CLC.400-OLVN) and 6-2405F onto Teal (CLC.400-TL) until there are six strands total.
7. Holding all the strands together and make a loop.
8. Pull all the strands through the loop to complete an overhand knot.
9. Keeping the beads centered tighten the knot up against the beads. There will be about 16 inches of loose cord above the knot.
10. To begin braiding the center portion of the necklace, hold each pair of the same color together to make a three strand braid. Take the left two strands and move them to center (sitting between the other two colors).
11. Now take the two strands from the right and bring them to the center of the other two colors.
12. Take the two strands now on the left and bring them to center.
13. Repeat step 11 with the strands now on the right.
14. Continue to braid in this way.
15. As the braid grows help it form a 'U' shape so that the necklace will fall correctly when worn.
16. Continue until all the strung beads are braided. If there is any unevenness at the end slide off extra beads.
17. Hold all the strands of cord together and make a loop.
18. Pull all the strands of cord through the loop to complete the overhand knot.
19. Pull tight to secure.
20. Braid the cord on each side. Hold all the strands of each color together to make a three strand braid. Keep the braid loose enough that it forms a flat braid.
21. Once the desired length is reached, make an overhand knot at the end of each cord braid.
22. Trim the ball off one headpin and push about 1/3 of its length through the top of the knot.
23. Glue the knot paying extra attention to the end where the cord tails are loose.
24. Once dry trim off cords just above the knot.
25. Bring both ends of the wire up until they cross.
26. Wrap the shorter end of the wire around the longer end.
27. With side cutters, trim off any extra wire from the wrapped end.
28. Make sure the longer end of wire is pointing straight up from the the knot. Slide a cone end and one 6/0 bead onto the wire.
29. Make a wrapped loop with the remaining wire at the tip of the cone. The cone should fit snugly on top of the knot but won't cover it entirely.
31. Hook the jump ring through the wrapped loop and the toggle loop and close.
32. Repeat steps 22-31 on the other end of the necklace.
33. Clasp and enjoy!
