Robin A. Matthews - White Rabbit

I was inspired by the White Rabbit, illustrated by John Tenniel, in the classic tale Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I feel that the White Rabbit serves as an ambassador between ancient and modem mythology. The White Rabbit is the catalyst which Carroll used to lure his audience into a parable that is enlightening, entertaining and intriguing; qualities that I hope to instill in my own work. Not unlike Alice, chasing after the White Rabbit, I too feel that I have embarked on my own journey, but my rabbit hole has lead me to the world of beads, a wonderland in itself. A simpler explanation should be in the words of Lewis Carroll, “Why is a raven like a writing desk?”.
