Valorie Harlow - The March Hare

Category: Sculpture.
The rabbit’s body is made with peyote stitch, the jacket with right-angle weave, the teapot peyote stitch with a brick stitch cover.

This sculpture was inspired by a scene taken out of Alice in Wonderland. Alice happens upon the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Door Mouse sitting at a long table. After much discussion on various subjects, the March Hare offers Alice some tea.

“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice very earnestly.

“I’ve had nothing yet,” replied Alice, “so I can’t take more."

“You mean you can’t take less,” said the Mad Hatter. "Its very easy to take more than nothing.”
